There’s a massive buzz around the Rangers Women’s team right now – and rightly so. The SWPL title race is shaping up to be one of the tightest in years, and our girls in blue are right in the thick of it.

After a dramatic midweek comeback win over Glasgow City – one of the true heavyweights of the women’s game in Scotland – Rangers soared to the top of the table. Goals from Kirsty Howat and Rio Hardy turned a 1-0 deficit into a 2-1 triumph, showing real character and belief. On the same night, Celtic were held to a goalless draw by Hibs, giving us that precious edge in the title race.

And now, it’s another crunch match: Hibernian v Rangers at Meadowbank Stadium in Edinburgh. A top-of-the-table showdown with everything to play for. With just 2 points separating the top three (Rangers, Hibs, and Glasgow City), every single match in this Championship group run-in is going to be like a cup final.

Katie Wilkinson – our top scorer this season – made her return with a 20-minute cameo against Glasgow City. Will we see more of her today? Let’s hope so. Her presence up top could be key in unlocking a determined Hibs defence.
